member benefit rebate and transaction pricing changes
|
From 1 March 2009 Big Sky will be changing the transaction pricing system as a result of the introduction of ATM Direct Charging by the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA).
Direct Charging means that instead of Big Sky paying an ATM interchange fee (a fee paid by card issuers like Big Sky to ATM owners) the cardholder will be charged at the point of the ATM withdrawal. If you use an ATM other than a RediATM*, the ATM screen will display the ATM owner’s cost for that transaction. You will then be able to accept or decline the charge.
ATM owners will determine the fee they wish to charge cardholders therefore fees will vary based on competition and costs of operating the ATM. For further information regarding Direct Charging and RediATMs please refer to 'the truth about direct charging' flyer.

Big Sky is pleased to introduce a member benefit rebate to enable members to be able to continue to transact at a reasonable level without charge.
|
From 1 March 2009, Big Sky will charge members for EFTPOS transactions and cash withdrawals from non RediATMs. However, to enable members to continue to transact at a reasonable level without incurring a fee, Big Sky is introducing a member benefit rebate.
The member benefit rebate will provide you with a rebate of the cost of up to 15 EFTPOS transactions, equating to $6 and a further rebate of up to $5 for RediATM and foreign ATM transactions. This is presented in the following table.
