Have you heard about Osko?
Faster, simpler, smarter payments are on the way. Introducing Osko by BPay.
Big Sky customers will soon be able to make and receive instant payments to anyone using their mobile phone number or email address.
Osko, created by BPay, is a new payment service that will change the way Australians pay each other. Real-time payment is the first Osko service, released as part of the New Payments Platform (NPP).
Customers who pay using Osko can make and receive instant payments to each other via their participating financial institutions. Whether it’s splitting the bill at a group dinner or paying a freelancer at the end of a job, paying with Osko will mean payments are faster, easier and more certain than ever before.
Payments using Osko will look much the same as payments made via online banking transactions, but instead of BSB and account details, customers can use a simple identifier called a PayID to make these payments.
To use Osko you’ll need to register for internet banking if you haven’t already.
PayIDs are created when customers link their chosen bank account details to their identifiers such as:
- Their own mobile phone number
- Their own email address
- Their business ABN number
A PayID is a safe, simpler, easier and smarter way to identify your account.
People will be able to register to set up their own PayIDs once Osko becomes available. At this point, we anticipate Osko and PayID to go live by the end of 2017.
All Big Sky customers will receive communication around this launch and more details around its implementation. In the meantime, please make sure all your contact details are up to date by updating them through internet banking or by calling us to assist you.
