There are four geographical regions of the World for insurance cover:

- Worldwide (includes USA, Canada, Hawaii, Africa, South America, Middle East)

Suggested Plans for different types of Travellers
|
To assist members choose the right level of cover, these are the basic types of travellers and most frequently recommended type of plan:

- Leisure Traveller (Overseas) - Plan A - Comprehensive International
- This plan is available for one journey outside of Australia, and includes benefits such as cancellation, medical, luggage & travel delay
|
- Leisure Traveller (within Australia) - Plan B - Australia only
- This plan is available for one journey within Australia, and includes benefits such as cancellation, luggage and rental vehicle excess.

- Business Traveller (Worldwide and within Australia) - Plan D - Frequent Traveller (Worldwide)
- This annual policy provides comprehensive cover for multiple trips inside and outside of Australia, to a maximum duration of 37 days for leisure travel and 90 days for business travel per journey.

- Business Traveller (within Australia) - Plan D - Frequent Traveller
- This annual policy provides comprehensive cover for multiple trips inside and outside of Australia, to a maximum duration of 37 days for leisure travel and 90 days for any single journey
|
- Backpacker (Overseas) - Plan C - Budget Cover
- This plan is available for one journey outside of Australia, and includes medical & personal liability only.

- Backpacker (within Australia) - Plan B - Australia Only
- This plan is available for one journey within Australia, and includes benefits such as cancellation, luggage and rental vehicle excess.

Plan A – Comprehensive International
|
Plan A provides comprehensive travel insurance for persons travelling internationally, including substantial cancellation, luggage, medical & repatriation cover. Cover applies from when you leave your home to go directly to the place you depart from your travels, and ends when you return to your home. (NB: there is no cover for medical cost/s incurred within Australia).

Plan B – Australia Only
|
Plan B provides cover for persons travelling domestically. Note that this is not a medical plan; it covers you largely for your luggage and the risk of cancellation or disruption of travel. Cover applies from when you leave your home to go directly to the place you depart from your travels, and ends when you return to your home.

Plan C – Budget Cover
|
Plan C is a budget policy, providing medical & repatriation cover for persons travelling overseas. Cover applies from when you leave Australia, and ends once you are back in Australia.

Plan D – Frequent Traveller
|
Plan D is an annual policy for frequent travellers, providing comprehensive cover for multiple business and leisure journeys. Your insurance only applies from when you leave your home to go directly to the place you depart from your travels, and ends when you return to your home. The maximum period for any one journey is 37 days for leisure travel or 90 days for business travel.
