Our Organisation

Like many Credit Unions and Building Societies in Australia today, Big Sky is an amalgam of several mutual organisations that were originally created to serve the employees of one specific employer.

Big Sky originates out of the BHP Employee’s Credit Co-Operative and today features the memberships of five other mutuals; Lysaght Employee’s Credit Co-operative, BP Employee’s Credit Co-Operative, RACV Credit Union, GMH Credit Union and Lifeplan Australia Building Society, (a wholly owned subsidiary of Australian Unity, itself a mutual organisation).

NB: On 29 October 2012 Big Sky will be moving Head Office to:

114 Albert Road
SOUTH MELBOURNE VIC 3205.

Please update your records and note this is business as usual; main contact details remain the same.
