Big Sky has longstanding relationships with many large companies predominantly within the resources industry. Our two original links to the industry are to BHP and BP as both started out as their own Credit Unions in 1971, prior to merging in 2003 and ultimately becoming Big Sky. Today, Big Sky offers a comprehensive and competitive range of financial services including banking, financial advice and insurance.
BHP Billiton - Big Sky started as BHP Employees Co-operative in 1971 and since changing our name and broadening our offering to the general public we have continued to provide banking and related financial services to the broader BHP Billiton organisation.
BlueScope - Formerly part of BHP, the organisation’s large Westernport (Vic) operation benefits from the presence of a Big Sky Service Centre on its premises. This Service Centre has been on site in one form or another since 1971 when it began life as a branch of the Lysaght Credit Union.
BMA came from a merger between BHP Coal and Mitsubishi Alliance, and many of Big Sky’s members linked to BMA are serviced by our Moranbah Service Centre in Queensland. The Moranbah Service Centre serves the community’s banking needs for the mines at Goonyella, Peak Downs, Saraji, Norwich Park, Blackwater, Gregory and Hay Point Terminal.
Capgemini provide outsourced payroll services to all Bluescope employees. Big Sky works with the company to serve the Bluescope employees financial needs.
OneSteel resulted from a merger involving BHP (BHP Reinforcing & Tubemakers).
Hatch Associates - Big Sky’s affiliation with Hatch Engineering began from it’s long association with BHP. It has several offices Qld, WA, and Vic.
BP – Big Sky continues it's proud history of providing banking services to BP employees, their families and contractors. Our Service Centre in Kwinana (WA) has been a constant support to BP employees since 1971. We also have Service Centres for BP employees in Bulwer Island and Eagle Farm (both in Qld).
Elite Customer Service - a BP Company that like its parent has a longstanding relationship with Big Sky.
GM Holden - Big Sky and GMH Credit Union merged in 2009 and Big Sky services their employees via Elizabeth in South Australia, and Port Melbourne in Victoria.
RACV - Big Sky merged with RACV Employee's Credit Union in 2006 and we continue to provide a full on-site banking facility to staff at the RACV Head Office in Noble Park (Vic).
